Get low cost dental care on the North Charleston Thornley Campus

Image
by Dosha Wynn Trident Technical College’s Dental Clinic is taking appointments for Dental Services for the Fall Semesters thru December 11, 2018. These services are offered to the Public, TTC Faculty, and TTC Students at a huge discounted price compared the same services offered from an outside dentist. I have utilized our Dental Clinic for my cleanings for years. The discounted price allows me to afford to maintain my recommended dental cleanings every 6 months. You will also receive Topical Fluoride Treatment included with the cleanings. The cleaning service is only $25.00. The clinic also offers Full Mouth, Panorex, and Bite Wing Radiographs (X-rays) for only $30.00 each. My experience with the Dental Clinic Services has always been positive. The students and instructors are always professional and pleasant. They really do go over and above! Call today 843-574-6465 to support the Dental Students and receive recommended oral health care at a fraction of the price. They are located ...

Culinary Institute of Charleston Students Volunteered to Work on the “Oyster Recovery Team”

Image
Culinary Institute of Charleston students volunteered to work on the “oyster recovery team” at the 35 th Lowcountry Oyster Festival  Jan. 28, helping collect close to 80,000 pounds of oyster shells. The shells will be recycled into local creeks where they will create new sustainable fish habitats. The Coastal Conservation Association South Carolina has organized a group of volunteers to collect and recycle shells since 2008. Over the 10 years that CCA SC has participated, more than half a million pounds of shells, about 10,755 bushels, have been collected at this one event. In that same time frame, CCA SC has invested more than $80,000 in equipment and donated it to S.C. Department of Natural Resources to establish and maintain a fleet of tools and vehicles specifically for oyster recycling and deployment.

Grand Opening of PTK Grocery Vault 2 - Downtown on Jan 31st

Image
Come to Palmer room 104 on January 31st between 1:00-3:00 to celebrate the Grand Opening of the Palmer Campus PTK Grocery Vault 2-Downtown. The TTC Vault, either on Main or Downtown, is open to all students and staff in need. Admissions Officer Gregory Cushing hosted an Angel Tree leading up to the Holiday Break during which our campus community donated the food that is currently on the shelves. If you missed out on that opportunity but would still like to donate,  you can bring donations to the Admissions Office and put them in the big green can.  Want to help further? Volunteers are needed to stock and staff the PTK Grocery Vault 2-Downtown. Orientation for volunteers is January 25th, 2-4 pm in Palmer room 107.  Dr. Mary Ann Kholi and the Clemente Coalition will be joining PTK in staffing and supporting the new Grocery Vault 2-Downtown.    Thanks to Admissions Officer Gregory Cushing for all his hard work getting this project off the ground, and Facilities Off...
